What inspired you to get involved with the Children’s Museum?
“I think it is so important for children to constantly be learning and having fun doing so. As an Interior Designer, I can see this vision come to life and look forward to enjoying this space with the community.”
Can you share a favorite childhood memory that sparked your passion for Sarasota to have a children’s museum and you being a part of bringing that to reality?
“As a child we had a beautiful Jacaranda tree that had a knot in it and it was part of my pretend kitchen, I would mix up lots of fun things using leaves and mud.”
What’s an interactive exhibit or educational program you would love to see at the museum, and why?
“Well it would have to be a play kitchen where kids can mix up their own creations!”
If you could have any superpower to help you in your role, what would it be and why?
“A magic wand to be able to wave right now to have our location, exhibits, and learning center complete.”
What are your hobbies or special talents that might surprise people?
“Since my husband and son took up the hobby of dirt bike riding in 2020 , I have joined them on many weekend adventures. I also love going to the beach, shopping, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.”
If you could host a dinner party with any three characters from children’s books or movies, who would they be and why?
“I would invite Mary Poppins because she would hopefully have everything we need in her handy bag, The Very Hungry Caterpillar so that we don’t have a lot of leftovers lol, and Waldo from Where’s Waldo so we will have entertainment of trying to find him all night.”
